INCREDIBLE CYCLING
We ride the Iya valley with its historical vine bridges, cycling through the mountainous interior, ride along pristine rivers and spectacular coastal roads, through rice paddies and citrus orchards, culminating in the Shimanami Kaido cycle route across 7 suspension bridges connecting islands of the Seto inland sea - a cyclist’s paradise.

NATURAL BEAUTY
Shikoku is is blessed with supreme natural beauty, with plunging valleys, tumbling waterfalls, high mountain passes, wooded mountains and a spectacular coastline. Local villages, a rugged interior, the magical Iya valley and the shrines and temples of the famous 88 temple pilgrimage route make this an enchanting place to visit.

ACCOMMODATION
Stay in a mix of traditional japanese ryokans/inns as well as western style accommodation. In the evenings, relax in the onsen (Japanese bath) and enjoy multi course and beautifuly presented meals in your yukata (kimono).

CUISINE
As all WOR tours, food is a highlight. Enjoy the famous shikoku sanaki udon and katso no tataki (seared bonito tuna). Fish and seafood is a highlight in coastal areas and along rivers, local vegetables and pickles feature on menus. We ride through rice paddies and citrus orchards on the islands. We visit local markets, sake distilleries and craft breweries. We enjoy set meals as well as exploring local Izakaya.

OSAKA
We start in vibrant Osaka with its incredible street food scene. We meet in the evening and the following afternoon we enjoy an exploratory city ride to visit some of the highlights - Osaka castle, Dotonbori and Osaka harbour.
